Wednesday 9th September was an absolutely, fantastic day! We celebrated ten years in business and the Tour of Britain came through East Lothian, our home county, for the first time.
We were joined for our birthday celebration by Alex Tait who bought a bike from us ten years ago and was our first customer!
Alex said, “I was delighted to be involved in the celebration. Colin is a great guy, very helpful and can’t do enough for customers. Belhaven Bikes also support lots of charity good causes which I admire and I appreciate the shop being so handy, it’s great having a local bike shop to rely on.”
A celebratory Belhaven Bikes birthday cake was created by 1650 Coffee Shop in Dunbar, which was welcomed by all the well wishers who dropped by that day and also by the cyclists who popped in after taking in the thrilling experience of the Tour of Britain. One of our customers, Andrew Leigh, kindly captured the atmosphere of the cycle race through a series of photos:
Colin of Belhaven Bikes commented, “We’d like to thank everyone for making our 10th birthday so special. We very much appreciate our customers’ support over the years, together with all the kind words, little gifts, friendship, cheerful chat and banter!”
