This year got off to a great start with a couple of thrilling race events – Thistly Cyclocross and the Berwick Wheelers, Reivers Road Race.
‘Thistly Cyclocross’
We were delighted to support our customer Greig Baird at the inaugural Thistly Cyclocross race, part of the Scottish Cyclocross season, and organised by local club, Haddington Cycle Club.
The race took place Sunday 5 February 2017 at Foxlake, East Lothian and is part of the Super Quaich Cyclocross Series. Foxlake normally welcomes wakeboarders and Foxfall daredevils but once again gave a warm welcome to the cyclocross crew.
Hat tip to Haddington CC who set a tough course which challenged the riders on a variety of terrain and they did a great job of organising a brilliant day with spectators aplenty.

‘Reivers Road Race’
Saturday 25 March 2017 saw the Berwick Wheelers hold their Reivers Road Race, which is now a firm fixture in the road cycling calendar. Now in its fourth year, the race once again weaved its way through the beautiful Northumberland countryside taking in the picturesque villages of Ford and Etal.
The legendary Ford Bank, which featured in the Tour of Britain 2015, also tested the riders during the two races, Cat 3/4 for 2 laps and Cat 2/3/4 for 3 laps taking the total of the course to 60 miles over 3 laps.
We very much enjoyed supporting the race again with mechanical back-up and thanks to the Berwick Wheelers for inviting us to join in their event.
Many congrats for the excellent organisation of the race to the Berwick Wheelers, thanks to Scottish Cycling for their support and the many valued volunteer marshals and spectators who turned out to cheer on the riders.
