2019 is quickly gathering pace so we wanted to take a breather to celebrate what a brilliant year 2018 was. We’ve captured some memories in a video slideshow. It shows what we offer and what cycling adventures our customers have been on during the year.
Another super and busy year took in: the ever popular Berwick Wheelers ‘Reivers Road Race’, Big Pedal and Bikeability free bike checks at five local primary schools including Dunbar and East Linton, custom bike builds, a Lands End to John O Groats plus coast to coast Canadian charity cycle for our customer Gordon Paterson, cycle tourists visited East Lothian from around the world often taking in the John Muir Way, ebikes offered great solutions for commuting, mountain biking and even tending sheep on a hillside farm, customers tackled the Scottish cyclocross season and it was a very memorable day when we met Markus, Jig, Lachlan and FamilybyCycle while filming the bikepacking ‘Go East Lothian Trail’ …
Pause for breath …
… our first demo day was really well attended with great feedback, a customer inspired ‘pink’ cycling kit joined our original orange which proved a very popular addition, our kit was well travelled this year including to Canada and America as well as Puffin Cycling also bringing a bit of ‘in the pink’ to the Isle of Man while nearer to home there was a scenic trip to the top of Berwick Law in North Berwick, we supported local lad Lewis Rollo with his training for The Ducati Tri-Options Cup motorbike race series where he secured 2nd place in the championship, there was cause for huge celebration as customers who met in our shop got married!, adventurous customers bikepacked, and tackled trails, we supported Norham ‘Bridge Too Far’ charity cycle again and took part in the inaugural ‘Local Bike Shop’ day celebrations with coffee, cake and offers!
