We’re joining in the Bike Week celebrations again this year by offering free bike hire and bike safety checks in our cycle workshop!
Bike Week is an annual event which shows how cycling can easily be part of everyday life. It promotes ‘everyday cycling for everyone’ and demonstrates the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling. The week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK.
During Bike Week, 11-19 June 2016, you can hire a bike from us, free for a day, to discover the benefits of cycling. You could try cycling to work, take a trip to the local shops, enjoy cycling the John Muir or Southern Upland Way, visit a friend or one of the many local, visitor attractions in East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.
Free bike safety checks are offered during Bike Week, although you can access this service from us all year round. We are members of the Association of Cycle Traders and hold Cytech certification, which is the bicycle industry’s recognised training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians.
As further celebration on Saturday 18 June why don’t you pop into the shop for a chat, whether you are a beginner or looking to get more out of your cycling. Enjoy a free Bike Week or Belhaven Bikes cupcake at the same time!
